Larger YTL Grouper on Cosmoledo

Replacing the smaller Lyretail I caught. As this process continues, I will update with the larger fish of the same species or where I have more unique stories!

I just got back from a trip to Cosmoledo Island in the Seychelles. A list minute trip that opened because of a cancellation. What a great trip. The place is spectacular, and I ended up with the best group of guys to fish and hang out with.

This fish really tried to take me into the coral, so I had to completely tighten the drag and turn his head.

I’ve only had the chance to post one video of the trip, but I will be posting more on the fishery and species caught. Unbelievable trip!

The video below is from when I decided to get up just a bit earlier to see the sunrise. We were generally up by 5:30 so it wasn’t too much earlier than normal.

Twice we started the day with a beautiful rainbow.

The sunset was just as incredible.
