Stripers in Boston, MA

Fall 2022: This was my first-time fishing for Stripers. I have been wanting to fish them for quite some time. I spent the weekend in Sandwich and Falmouth to fish both sides of the cape.

Fished with Brian, a fantastic guide. Besides putting us on the fish, he really knows the history of the area. Lastly, he has a Brown Belt in Jujitsu in case you run into another boat.

I decided to stay in the two towns just to get a feel of different areas. It was worth it as they both have very different vibe and food/bar choices

Used an 8 weight with very small deceiver. Fairly long cast needed as the fish can be skittish. Hard strike, classis strip set. Just a great fish to catch in a beautiful area.

I will be up there again in the fall and maybe in the late spring depending on when the Albi’s are showing up.
